Hair Straight Back has been developing their original blend of rock, blues, funk and Stoner Rock for ten years in various basements and garages all over Thunder Bay. In 2005 a cemented version of the band including Kol Mackay on vocals and guitar, Tyler Kellar on guitar, Jesse "Big Daddy" Walker on bass and Jamie Varga on drums, hit various stages around Thunder Bay and are now currently working on recording a demo and getting more live action under their belts. Heavily influenced by bands such as Cream, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Queens of the Stone Age, Foghat, Monster Magnet and others, Hair Straight Back has definitely found their own musical flavour by playing plain ol hard driving rock and blues in a world where everyone tries so hard to develop something new and "alternative".
