Bio

The Auditor General is four longtime friends and musicians who call Thunder Bay home. Their unique blend of indie folk combines front man Jamie Smith’s memorable melodies and thoughtful lyrics with band mates Justin Sillman, Josh Hogan, and Sean Skillen’s varied musical landscapes ranging from delicate and sombre to upbeat and driving. Since releasing their debut album in 2009, the group has toured the country, played renowned festivals, and have been tirelessly crafting their follow-up album ‘Last Best Places’ which was released July 18th, 2014 on vinyl and saw a digital release on August 15th, 2014. Last year they played their own original music twice with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orcherstra, once as part of the Beer & Beethoven concert series and once at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium as part of the Northern Lights Concert Experience. The Auditor General was recently awarded no less than 6 number one titles in this years Thunder Bay publication of 'The Walleye' for best album, best rock band, best folk band and best individual musicians. Also they were first place on local campus radio CILU's top 40 year end list.
