Humour for Hope: Homelessness is No Joke
A comedy fundraiser, ‘Humour for Hope. Homelessness is No Joke!’, featuring Don Kelly is being organized by the Sociology and Social Justice Studies students at Lakehead University in partnership with Shelter House. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 25th, 2017 at The Outpost located at Lakehead University Thunder Bay Campus from 7pm to 10pm.
Don Kelly is a writer/comedian, Gemini nominated host of “Fish Out of Water” on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN). He has numerous appearances on national comedy specials including CTV’s Comedy Now!, CBC’s Comics!, CBC’s The Debaters, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and regular appearances at comedy clubs and gatherings across the country. “Homelessness is no joke, but we’re going to have a great time for a great cause. This is a chance for everyone to join together and put the ‘fun’ in fundraiser!” – Don Kelly.
Chris Mulawyshyn, comedian and founder of Crickets, Thunder Bay’s very own Comedy Club and soon to be Canada’s largest comedy chain, will MC the event and provide an exciting line-up of Canada’s most exciting comedy talent.
Tickets are $30 per person or $15 for students.
There will be door prizes and appetizers will be served.
Sponsored corporate tables are available for groups of 10 at $1000, or Corporate tickets are $100 each.
Please note must be nineteen (19) years of age or older with valid photo ID to attend.
