Magnus Theatre is very pleased to present INVISIBLES, a collective creation project created by local high school students with the guidance of our theatre professionals.
INVISIBLES is a play about invisible disabilities, an umbrella term that encapsulates a spectrum of hidden disabilities or challenges that are neurological in nature. The play specifically examines autism, anxiety, depression and learning disabilities.
INVISIBLES spans two days in the lives of four high school students, who must face an unexpected event that throws them into turmoil. There is more to the students than meets the eye, though: each student has a living, breathing invisible disability that shadows them, influencing their decisions, reactions and overall well-being. INVISIBLES is based on the experiences of local teens, giving the play an authentic youth voice that delivers an important message: just because it’s invisible, doesn’t mean that it’s not real.
INVISIBLES is a subset of Magnus Theatre’s Theatre in Education program with the generous support of the Thunder Bay Community Foundation and Ontario Arts Council’s Arts Education Projects grant.
