Yo Chef! is a black box cooking competition between two local chefs with a solid influence of hip hop music! It is a fundraiser based event to raise money and awareness for a local cause. This time around all proceeds are going to Roots To Harvest!
Chef Nikos Mantis of Local Motion Food Truck and Pinetree Catering will go head to head against Chef Mike Belisle of Barbecupid Food Truck in a two round, black box cooking competition.
Nikos and Mike will have a set amount of time to prepare one dish in each round using ingredients selected by the judges panel, they will not know what these ingredients are until they are unveiled 10 minutes prior to each round of cooking.
This time around the judges panel will consist of:

Chef Franco Masdea of The Victoria Inn
Chef Andrew Stone of Daytona’s
Chef Steve Simpson of Tomlin
Reigning champ and Chef of Red Lion John Murray
Chef Joe Sposato of The Sovereign Room
Vince Mirabelli from Re/Max Realty
Richard “House” Moorey will be returning as the Emcee for the evenings events as well.
DJ Wurlwind will be on the turn tables for the night!
All proceeds for this event will go to Roots To Harvest. There will be a live auction, just like last time, for a private dinner cooked by the judges panel and winner of Yo Chef! Round two! Last time we were able to raise $1500 from the live auction, let’s see if it can be beaten this time!
Again like last time, there are no tickets available for the event, it will be $7 at the door and this will include beef on a bun and the opportunity to witness all the action go down!
