One of the fastest rising glitch/nerdcore electro producers on the scene, Bankai appeared late April ’09. Hailed as one of the foremost ‘open source’ producers, Bankai releases all the raw components of his music for free, online. His fans are funding and organising a ‘crowd-sourced’ tour, slated for February 2010.
Bankai released his first EP Quarter Circle Punch in April ’09, Teen Slut Pimp Strut in September, supported by a slew of remixes for people like Hot Bitch Arsenal, The Abominable Iron Sloth and Caustic. He has achieved a cult following via private torrent trackers, music blogs and sites like thesixtyone.

Known to some cult followers by the live avatar “Synthosaurus”, Beautiful Unicorn first gained attention in 2008 with the release of his electro/funk/8-bit single “Spin Dash” on community weblog Metafilter and The Sixty One. Beautiful Unicorn’s style inimitaby blends joyful, melodic instrumental dance pop, oldschool Italo and badass 80s funk into a saccharine package wrapped in layers and layers of expertly arranged synthesizers.
