Eyeswide is a solo acoustic project fronted by lead singer/songwriter Neil Crowe. With the sole purpose of making heads bob and toes tap, it is a driving funk rock sound with some distortion thrown in. His writing is provocative and edgy, a window into one man’s observations of life. Adding to his strong musical performance, Neil has a stage presence that dominates, luring the captive attention of an audience tempted by his hard pounding rhythms and the melodious sanctity of his slower lyrical songs. The music has been compared to Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews and Fall Out Boy.
Neil grew up in the small town of Thunder Bay, Ontario, starting his music career by playing bass with a focus on funk tunes influenced by Primus and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Neil picked up a guitar when he found no headway playing bass in his hometown. Currently located in Barrie, Ontario, you can catch Neil performing his Eyeswide sets all around the General Toronto area.
